It looks for all the world like Tinytopia has you smashing tower blocks for the sheer fun of it and, despite having been just the worst in a whole host of other games, it’s the cute factor that’s making us feel uneasy about unleashing all that mayhem. Because, let’s face it, if you’ve ever played Sim City, you’ve thrown a disaster or two at your metropolis.Įxcept, these aren’t just toy cities you’re making, they have tiny tiny people in them, as you can see from the Steam page. Aside from building a miniature city, you also defend it from disasters using gun turrets and so forth or, if you’re in the mood, destroy what you’ve built. And, at first glance it looks like Lego meets Sim City you can even see the toy cars outside the city’s boundaries, making it abundantly clear your metropolis is being constructed in some child’s bedroom.Ĭertainly, going by the trailer, it looks like it could be fun. WELCOME, MAYOR, TO TINYTOPIA We're thrilled to announce that after months of planning, construction, and good ol' fashioned hard work, Tinytopia has launched We've spent a lot of time getting the place ready for you, and we hope you enjoy the one-of-a-kind experience Tinytopia has to offer. Tinytopia, a city-building/physics puzzle mash-up, now has a release date.Īrriving at the end of this month, it’s billed as “a playful blend of city-building, physics-based challenges, and oh-so-satisfying destruction”.
